The weather had been good all week and Suonenjoki was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Sweet Thunder sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.




Foamy Cleanser saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Philimon looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Sweet Thunder couldn't come out from behind the leader, Foamy Cleanser.




Philimon accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.




Philimon didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead.



Philimon kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Foamy Cleanser galopped for 40 m on the homestretch.




Philimon kept the speed the whole finish and won before Sweet Thunder and Foamy Cleanser.
