It had been raining for several days at Åby but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Sly Paladin could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

Punching Arraow saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. I. C. Noobstacle started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Flemming On Fire sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Flemming On Fire followed by Big Missile and Ultimate Knight. Lane two License To Scream followed by Punching Arraow and Airstrike.

Muscle Rebel was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. License To Scream speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Airstrike won the race after a spectacular finish.
