One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Charmed Wind tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Chakotay that came steaming ahead. There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. Douleur Nova was disturbed and galoped 50 m. Chakotay clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Nothing seemed to be able to stop Chakotay today. It continued in the lead. Wicked showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Chakotay sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch. Chakotay didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race. Results
