One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Eau Du Cologne tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Funky Needle that came steaming ahead.




Eau Du Cologne quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Eau Du Cologne started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. Bol Band started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Funky Needle sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Funky Needle today. It continued in the lead. Baresi galloped for 20 m.




Eau Du Cologne suddenly took over the lead.



Eau Du Cologne kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Eau Du Cologne kept the speed the whole finish and won before Funky Needle and Bol Band.
