The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Kannus this day. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Jolly Cherry tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Elegant Runaway that came steaming ahead. The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced. Elegant Runaway clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Elegant Runaway was still in the lead after 1500m. Elegant Runaway started to gallop after 1500m and Ari Moilanen had to struggle to get it back in trotting. With only a little left of the race Jolly Cherry galoped for 50 m. Elegant Runaway kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch. No-one could catch Elegant Runaway today who won before Entschuldigung and Nitamej Youll Getback. Results
