The sun was shining and the birds was singing on Kalajoki today.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Fly Me. Barbed Wire ended up behind the leader. Valkyrie Rebel got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.




Salut Marin quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Light His Fire took the lead after 1000m. Fly Me didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Light His Fire followed by Barbed Wire and Tegen Hof. Lane two Fly Me followed by Salut Marin and Valkyrie Rebel. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Valkyrie Rebel gallopped for 40 m.



Light His Fire looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Final standings. 1 Valkyrie Rebel, 2 Light His Fire, 3 Tegen Hof.
