The weather had been good all week and Skellefteå was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Ares could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Reed Sing showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galloping.




This is the positions after 500m. Major Man, Growing Ship, Gentleman Night, Movement Mind, Ares, Solid Thrasher, Leader, Winner's Choise.




The leader got disturbed by something and Gentleman Night took the lead rather easily.




Gentleman Night was still in the lead after 1500m.



Ares was disturbed and galopped for 10 m. Leader was first on the homestretch followed by Solid Thrasher and Gentleman Night.






Leader didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
