It had been raining for several days at Axevalla but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Arctic Zone could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




This is the positions after 500m. Punching Star, Running Fall, Sly Comet, Stopping Top, Pogo, Idonette, Arctic Zone, Glowing Raspberry.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Idonette looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.



Idonette looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Glowing Raspberry won the race after a spectacular finish.
