The weather had been good all week and Axevalla was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Cosmic Ruby. Vorstelijk Magesty ended up behind the leader. Banalité got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.




Sowing Red quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Sowing Red clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Butcher Hill suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 20 m.




Sowing Red was still in the lead after 1500m.



Cosmic Ruby speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.






Rugged Bandwagon won. Cosmic Ruby came in second. Sowing Red caught third place.
