The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Årjäng this day. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Düring sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Vorstelijk Magesty quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Tony Thompson took the lead after 1000m. Vorstelijk Magesty didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Düring galoped after 1000m and lost 40 m. Nothing seemed to be able to stop Tony Thompson today. It continued in the lead. Tony Thompson looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch. Düring won the race after a spectacular finish. Results
