The weather had been good all week and Åby was in good shape.
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
The leader got disturbed by something and Whiskey took the lead rather easily.
Pirates Ship saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead. Velvet Underground started to gallop after 1500m and Thomas Dalborg had to struggle to get it back in trotting.
Pirates Ship didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead. Falling Princess was disturbed and gallopped for 40 m.
Whiskey litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.
