One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Snowy Thinking found a gap and took the lead. Tug Of War followed before Jolly Vanilla. Åke Lindblom wanted a little to much in the start and Tug Of War galoped for 20 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Viale Di Poggio, Snowy Plan, Jolly Vanilla, Mighty Joe Young, Tug Of War, Sophisticated Pony, Snowy Thinking, Pobornik. A bird flew just in front of Wild Madness who started to galop and lost 40 m.

Sophisticated Pony sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Tug Of War accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.

Mighty Joe Young was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. Tug Of War kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Juhani Partanen tried a little too much on the homestretch and Wild Madness started to galopp and lost 50 m.

Tug Of War kept the speed the whole finish and won before Pobornik and Snowy Thinking.
