One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Sleeping Passion took the lead after a very quick start. When the startcar left the field Sleeping Passion started to galop and lost 50 m. Pekka Korpi wanted a little to much in the start and Drooling Man galoped for 10 m.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Tretiak sprinted to the front.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Tretiak today. It continued in the lead.



Drooling Man suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

Sleeping Passion galopped for 10 m on the homestretch.




Silver Sunray won the race after a spectacular finish.
