One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Gold Ginger Whirlwind was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.

Carlos Afrodite quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Hot Steam took the lead after 1000m. Carlos Afrodite didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Hot Steam today. It continued in the lead.

Hot Steam didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead. Carlos Afrodite gallopped 40 m after 2000m.

Hot Steam sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Gold Ginger Whirlwind made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Hot Steam.
