The weather had been good all week and Forus was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Light Asteroid could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




This is the positions after 500m. Benjamin Pawpaw, Acciano, Rugged Blast, Snowy Dragon, Light Asteroid, Pirates Bullet, Pirates Flying Dutchman, Jungle Bow Wowwow.




Benjamin Pawpaw clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Jungle Bow Wowwow suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 40 m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Benjamin Pawpaw followed by Snowy Dragon and Acciano. Lane two Pirates Bullet followed by Light Asteroid and Rugged Blast.



Benjamin Pawpaw looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

Rugged Blast galoped way to long and was disqualified.




Light Asteroid sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
