It had been raining for several days at Vaggeryd but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Gimme Shelter sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. When the startcar left the field Waving Electra started to galop and lost 30 m. This is the positions after 500m. Waving Electra, Gimme Shelter, Criminal Crypt, Polnareff, Happy Heroine, Gorgeous Bouquet, Dragan, . Happy Heroine took the lead after 1000m. Criminal Crypt didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Gimme Shelter accelerated after 1500m and took the lead. Polnareff litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch. Waving Electra won the race after a spectacular finish. Results
