The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Biri this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Giresse could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Giresse quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Giresse sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Brave Sword was disturbed and galoped 30 m.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Giresse today. It continued in the lead.



Giresse kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






No-one could catch Giresse today who won before Hell Patrol and Brave Sword.
