The sun was shining and the birds was singing on Östersund today.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Royal Empire could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

Running Ace saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.

Slow Power took the lead after 1000m. Setoguchi didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Running Ace accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.

Royal Empire speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Winner of todays race was Royal Empire. Running Ace came in second. Mr Bronkz became third.
