Only a humble breeze blew over Kausala this day. The track where in perfect shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





The Duke could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. When the startcar left the field Nice Price Racingway started to galop and lost 50 m. Tapio Perttunen wanted a little to much in the start and Beach Boy galoped for 10 m.




This is the positions after 500m. Starshine Giggle, Breaking Girl, Perfect Nugget, Power Sergeant, Rolling Heat, The Duke, Resurrection, Beach Boy.




Perfect Nugget sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Perfect Nugget followed by Beach Boy and Starshine Giggle. Lane two Resurrection followed by The Duke and Breaking Girl.



Perfect Nugget were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.






Beach Boy sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
