It had been raining for several days at Jarlsberg but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Outspoken Gladiator tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Tranquil Gold that came steaming ahead.




This is the positions after 500m. Hard Rocket, Magnetic Tape, Comfortable Hyena, Big Slick, Tranquil Gold, Barefoot Gold, Climbing Strategy, Black Momentum. Outspoken Gladiator galloped for 60m and was disqualified. A bird flew just in front of Hard Rocket who started to galop and lost 10 m.




Big Slick took the lead after 1000m. Hard Rocket didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Big Slick today. It continued in the lead.



Big Slick kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Hard Rocket sprinted over the finishline before Tranquil Gold and Barefoot Gold.
