One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Phoenix Star found a gap and took the lead. Screaming Ship followed before Fast Thrasher.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.




Phoenix Star sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.




Lincoln Beard looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Fast Thrasher gallopped for 10 m.



Phoenix Star was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. Cherub Rock speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.






Final standings. 1 Fast Thrasher, 2 Lincoln Beard, 3 Screaming Ship.
