The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Suonenjoki this day.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Kramer Never Knocks Pegasos could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

Stunning Diva quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Glittering Sapphire showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Fender Bender was disturbed and galoped 40 m.

Victory Rebel sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Confident Muscle showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

Victory Rebel was still in the lead after 1500m. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Kramer Never Knocks Pegasos gallopped for 40 m.

Victory Rebel didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead. Glittering Sapphire gallopped 30 m after 2000m.

Lieutenant Boulder was first on the homestretch followed by Victory Rebel and Screaming Band.

Victory Rebel won the race after a spectacular finish.
