It had been raining for several days at Lieksa but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Nicostrato could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. This is the positions after 500m. Forceful Wolf, Crying Mother, Walking Boulder, Skirtboy, Portable Night, Nicostrato, Funky Beat, . Forceful Wolf was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Nothing seemed to be able to stop Forceful Wolf today. It continued in the lead. Funky Beat put some pressure on the leader and could take over. Walking Boulder suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead. Final standings. 1 Funky Beat, 2 Nicostrato, 3 Walking Boulder. Results
