One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Gold Heart Lady could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.
The leader couldn't hold the lead and Try Me sprinted to the front.
No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.
Sir Excellent accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.
Frangelico seemed to be in top-form this day and took over the lead. Frangelico gallopped 10 m after 2000m.
Frangelico kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
Sir Excellent sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
