The weather had been good all week and Karlshamn was in good shape.
The players just had time to make their last bets before the start. All horses seemed to be in good shape this day.
Close Muscle tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Bright Heat that came steaming ahead.
Daragh saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.
Tranquil Necklace sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead. Formica Atomica showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.
Standings after 1500m . Lane one Tranquil Necklace followed by Close Muscle and Odd I. Lane two Bright Heat followed by Pampered Hope and Daragh.
Tranquil Necklace didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead.
Bright Heat was disturbed and galopped for 20 m. Pampered Hope suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.
Close Muscle won. Tranquil Necklace came in second. Bright Heat caught third place.
