One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Waas Mooi Vent found a gap and took the lead. Sly Lizard followed before Expensive Lovebreaker.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Waas Mooi Vent was still in the lead after 1500m. Waas Mooi Vent showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.



Sly Lizard speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.






Sly Lizard didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
