The sun was shining and the birds was singing on Åby today.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Striking Pie found a gap and took the lead. Frozen Beard followed before New Gold Dream. Striking Pie was to tense at the start and galloped for 30 m.




This is the positions after 500m. Criminal Donkey, New Gold Dream, Cannonball, Dominant Work, Frozen Beard, Striking Pie, Pretty Moonlight, Rivadavia. Rivadavia was disturbed and galoped 40 m.




New Gold Dream looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Frozen Beard couldn't come out from behind the leader, Criminal Donkey.



With only a little left of the race Frozen Beard galoped for 40 m. New Gold Dream looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Dominant Work couldn't come out from behind the leader, Criminal Donkey.






No-one could catch Criminal Donkey today who won before Dominant Work and Striking Pie.
