After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Amigo Hall, Appletini Cherry, Never Crestfallen, Running Boulder, Master Of Victory, , , . Amigo Hall clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Standings after 1500m . Lane one Amigo Hall followed by Running Boulder and Master Of Victory. Lane two Never Crestfallen followed by Appletini Cherry and . Something caused a disturbance in the field and Appletini Cherry gallopped for 40 m. Amigo Hall kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.
