One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Super Ball tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Giresse that came steaming ahead.




Crossing Passion saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Now Or Never started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Texas Blind Snake sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.
