One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Happy Sword tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Scotland that came steaming ahead. When the startcar left the field Nightmist started to galop and lost 50 m.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.




Muscular Hero clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.
