One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Razzmatazz found a gap and took the lead. Gold Elegant Midnight followed before Beethoven Hof. Beethoven Hof suddenly started to galop. Björn Goop had to struggle to get Beethoven Hof to tror again and succeded after 40 m. Umbrella suddenly started to galop. Carl Johan Jepson had to struggle to get Umbrella to tror again and succeded after 40 m.

Hard To Catch was in fine shape and held the lead.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Maranero galoped after 1000m and lost 30 m.
