The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Kalmar this day.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Lou Kronos sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Dan-Åke Olsson wanted a little to much in the start and Relaxing Bear galoped for 40 m.

Holy Starshine quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Schrimp took the lead after 1000m. Barefoot Breeze didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Barefoot Breeze followed by Active Asteroid and Schrimp. Lane two Ticking Wave followed by Lou Kronos and Holy Starshine. Relaxing Bear galloped for 10 m.

Ticking Wave took the lead. Faldo galloped way to long and was disqualified. Relaxing Bear was disturbed and gallopped for 40 m.

Active Asteroid litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Active Asteroid didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
