The weather had been good all week and Axevalla was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Floating Grove found a gap and took the lead. Charmed Viper followed before Hot Steam.




This is the positions after 500m. Starshine Electra, Charmed Viper, Frozen Paradigm, Floating Grove, Hot Steam, Silver Legend, Kvarngärdets Orion, Outspoken Pressure. Silver Legend started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. A bird flew just in front of Sliding Satellite who started to galop and lost 50 m.




Hot Steam looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Floating Grove couldn't come out from behind the leader, Starshine Electra.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Starshine Electra followed by Hot Steam and Silver Legend. Lane two Floating Grove followed by Charmed Viper and Sliding Satellite.




Starshine Electra was still in the lead after 2000m.



Starshine Electra kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Floating Grove won the race after a spectacular finish.
