The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Solvalla this day.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Questo Momento. Counterfeit Biscuit ended up behind the leader. San Diego Royal got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and Normand Larockma sprinted to the front.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Red Giggle suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 10 m. Athletic Judge showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Normand Larockma today. It continued in the lead.

Jolly Beauty was first on the homestretch followed by Red Giggle and San Diego Royal.

San Diego Royal sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
