One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Washington Rocker could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. When the startcar left the field Washington Rocker started to galop and lost 20 m.




Washington Rocker was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Handy Cruiser looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.



Washington Rocker suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.






Handy Cruiser never caught up with Washington Rocker who won. Polished Bear came third.
