It had been raining for several days at Åby but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Verplaatsing took the lead after a very quick start.




This is the positions after 500m. Troubling Pixie, Useless Vacation, Verplaatsing, Brave Velvet, Outspoken Speed, Ivory Dancer, Honourable Man, Beautiful Amazon.




Troubling Pixie clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Troubling Pixie followed by Useless Vacation and Outspoken Speed. Lane two Ivory Dancer followed by Brave Velvet and Sly Band. Verplaatsing galloped for 40 m.




Troubling Pixie didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead. Ivory Dancer gallopped 20 m after 2000m.



Outspoken Speed was first on the homestretch followed by Troubling Pixie and Ivory Dancer.






Troubling Pixie won the race after a spectacular finish.
