One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Queen Annes Lace found a gap and took the lead. Minnesota Viking followed before Loving Feeling.




Loving Feeling quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Golden Prince started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Grasping Thinker took the lead after 1000m. Minnesota Viking didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Minnesota Viking looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.




Minnesota Viking sat safely in the lead after 2000m.



Minnesota Viking were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

The Beast galopped for 20 m on the homestretch.




Queen Annes Lace sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
