The weather had been good all week and Momarken was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Independant Comet could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Happy Runaway was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced. A bird flew just in front of Forceful Piece who started to galop and lost 20 m. Spike De Rabotiere was disturbed and galoped 20 m.

Independant Comet clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Rugged Piece followed by Happy Runaway and Steel Stereo. Lane two Independant Comet followed by Giggling Vixen and Black Illusion. Relaxing Lizard galloped for 30 m.

Independant Comet kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Happy Runaway kept the speed the whole finish and won before Rugged Piece and Independant Comet.
