One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Mad Dream tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Relaxing Rocket that came steaming ahead.

This is the positions after 500m. Se Pismeno, Wolly Queen, Tough Night, Honourable Comet, Relaxing Rocket, Dusty Summer, Hold The Baby, Fierceful Rocker. A bird flew just in front of Ivory Witch who started to galop and lost 40 m. Amazing Cake started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Tough Night sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Tough Night followed by Amazing Cake and Honourable Comet. Lane two Fierceful Rocker followed by Mad Dream and Se Pismeno. Relaxing Rocket started to gallop after 1500m and Jan Norberg had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Tough Night sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Hold The Baby never caught up with Tough Night who won. Amazing Cake came third.
