It had been raining for several days at Bergsåker but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Stunning Orchid sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. This is the positions after 500m. Funky Starshine, Travelling Passion, Sudden Cup, Stunning Orchid, Ghostly Thinker, , , . Sudden Cup took the lead after 1000m. Stunning Orchid didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.
