One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Funky Gold was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Glorious Lily sprinted to the front. Funky Gold started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. A bird flew just in front of Reale Sognare who started to galop and lost 40 m.




Funky Gold looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Wimpy Godiva couldn't come out from behind the leader, Glorious Lily.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Glorious Lily today. It continued in the lead. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Reale Sognare gallopped for 10 m.



Funky Gold suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.






Glorious Lily never caught up with Funky Gold who won. Wimpy Godiva came third.
