One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Wolly Orchid was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.

This is the positions after 500m. Terrific Sunshine, Sleepy Rocket, Eau Du Cologne, Wolly Orchid, Loving Glittering, Flickering Breeze, Zeitung, Stifling Ring.

Wolly Orchid sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Eau Du Cologne galoped after 1000m and lost 20 m. Stifling Ring suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 50 m.

Eau Du Cologne made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Wolly Orchid.
