One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Materazzi was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Substance Élégante suddenly started to galop. Tony Wallin had to struggle to get Substance Élégante to tror again and succeded after 50 m.

Substance Élégante was looking sharp this day and continued in the lead.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

Materazzi was still in the lead after 1500m.

Materazzi were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Materazzi never caught up with Substance Élégante who won. Trippintini came third.
