Start List
One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Royal Fizz found a gap and took the lead. Screaming Box followed before Diamond Dandy. This is the positions after 500m. Big Dynamite, Mary, Criminal Power, Whispering Daffodil, Sneaky Cruiser, At The Zoo, Empiress, Screaming Box. No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Standings after 1500m . Lane one Big Dynamite followed by Whispering Daffodil and Screaming Box. Lane two At The Zoo followed by Criminal Power and Royal Fizz. Screaming Box showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Big Dynamite kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch. The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Whispering Daffodil galop. Whispering Daffodil lost 10 m. Diamond Dandy sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
