One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

L'Étoile Mystérieuse found a gap and took the lead. Global Diamond followed before Judy Jane.

Lightning Hero saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. L'Étoile Mystérieuse started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. A bird flew just in front of Judy Jane who started to galop and lost 10 m.

Sowing Nova sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Diamond Strawberry was disturbed and galoped 10 m.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Sowing Nova followed by Diamond Strawberry and Global Diamond. Lane two L'Étoile Mystérieuse followed by Whirlwind and Judy Jane.

Sowing Nova sat safely in the lead after 2000m. Judy Jane was disturbed and gallopped for 10 m.

Sowing Nova kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Global Diamond won. Sowing Nova came in second. L'Étoile Mystérieuse caught third place.
