One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Liverpool Rules could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. When the startcar left the field Ipred started to galop and lost 20 m.

Overbringe, , , . Unknown started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.
Ipred took the lead after 1000m.
Liverpool Rules didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.
Overbringe suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 40 m.

Tank galoped after 1000m and lost 10 m.
Liverpool Rules saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead.
Liverpool Rules were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.
