It had been raining for several days at Kalajoki but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Flying Steel found a gap and took the lead. Sad Beard followed before Far Beyond Hero.

This is the positions after 500m. Tuborg Pegasos, Tarzan Boy, Casper Slide, Polished Diamond, Messerchmitt, Flying Steel, Far Beyond Hero, Sad Beard.

Far Beyond Hero took the lead after 1000m. Tuborg Pegasos didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Far Beyond Hero was still in the lead after 1500m. Polished Diamond galloped for 20 m.

Far Beyond Hero were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Tuborg Pegasos won the race after a spectacular finish.
