It had been raining for several days at Kuopio but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Aces Front was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.

Imperator quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Racine took the lead after 1000m. Whirlwind didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Racine followed by Glory Ace and Maximum Overdrive. Lane two Polished Diamond followed by Mad Meadow and Aces Front.

With only a little left of the race Whirlwind galoped for 50 m. Racine were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Mad Meadow sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
