One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.
Will Last Forever was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. When the startcar left the field Whispering Peach started to galop and lost 10 m.

Tropic saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.

Tropic sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Tropic was still in the lead after 1500m.
With only a little left of the race
Whispering Peach galoped for 20 m.

Tropic kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
Will Last Forever made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before
Jolly
Tropic.
