One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Cherokee was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. Relaxing Body started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Cherokee was still in the lead after 1500m. Cherokee didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead. Cherokee kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch. Winner of todays race was Cherokee. Philadelphia came in second. Nieuwtje became third. Results
